Mother and Nature is a Canadian owned and operated small business dedicated to functional and eco friendly products for babies, parents, and anyone looking to live more sustainably. Owner (and Head of Sewing) Lindsay is the person behind Mother and Nature, sharing her journey as a small business owner and mom of three little humans.
When she's not sewing, packaging, shipping, posting on social media, and all the other good stuff that comes with running a small business that she's passionate about, she's a partner, parent, and career woman on a mission to share her journey (with a healthy dose of swearing) and save the planet.
Mother and Nature originally began as Lindsay used sewing to cope with prenatal/postpartum depression and anxiety. She began with creating baby gifts for family and friends, gradually shifting to events, and then moving primarily online due to the pandemic and into retail locations across Canada.
Over time, the Mother and Nature product line has expanded to include more eco friendly products, including budget friendly cloth diapers and workshops/support to demistify cloth diapering.
In 2020, the company committed to planting one tree for every purchase and they continue to explore opportunities to give back to the community and planet.
To date, Mother and Nature have saved an estimated 250,000+ (and counting!) single-use items from landfills including disposable diapers, wet wipes, disposable menstrual products, cotton rounds, disposable breast pads, and more!
